Green mail sent out for the spring equinox

I sent green mail out on the equinox.

Envelopes

The backs

And the 'grass' growing on the inside.

Who is Eduardo Munez - part 7

This is a more 'filled in' version of a previous mysterious Eduardo Munez envelope.

And the same information in a spiral format.

The first envelope is not corn, or a church, or an electrical circuit, or an air port terminal map. It's not a seating chart, a game, a pill, a button hole attachment or a martian cribbage board. And it's not a football field, or a zipper. The stamps may have been a bit of a red herring, however I used them because the first image makes me think of corn.

It's an abstracted map of the Newcastle metro system. Here's the current official map.

Philpott Lake

Diana found a stash of quite ugly postcards of Philpott Lake.

Sent in this great envelope, with instructions to alter and return.

Goodbye, ugly tree stump, hello, ugly green monster.

Sent back in envelope 660 - now this is what a lake should look like.

You should be able to see more of these altered postcards here.

Minnesota bound

Hopefully by now the snow has gone from Minnesota, where both of these envelopes were sent.

Envelope 239 to Steve D, not quite in time for St Patrick's Day, but hopefully still in March.

And Envelope 164 to Linda F. Not too much longer before the weather is warm enough for open air theatrics in the evening.

Envelope exchange 2014: from Jean

Jean sent me this minimalist envelope. I think the fern stamps are excellent. You don't see them much, as they are used on mass mailings unless you order them from USPS directly.

And there was a bonus envelope inside. I am a big fan of Warhol; this was perfect. And it's a bird on head.

At first I thought the minimalist envelope was for the exchange... then the *real* exchange envelope arrived.

Envelope 242

For Honi C.

I like the simple fern added to the composition.

Addressed over the 'asemic-looking' writing.

The back.

Envelope 459

This is one of my favorite envelopes of a recent batch I made.

The fern stamp fit perfectly in a blank space.

Sent to Rose.

The back.

There was a leftover scrap after making the envelope for Rose.

It inspired me to get the watercolor pencils out and add to it, then send it to Adrienne.

Lundi Lettres - Mail Monday 3

The US entry in this miniseries is from Hester W. The envelope has a woven texture (linen?), reminding me of grass, and goes perfectly with the fern stamp.

And the bonus is the fantastic liner.
