Fruit sticker postcards out

MMSA had a fruit sticker postcard challenge. I sent these faces in, using the banana stamp Linda sent me ages ago.

And a bonus one for the host, Laurie.

Banana Day

Another Banana Day occurred April 20.

This is what I sent out.

And this is what came in.

First, minions from MomKat.

The next day, this much-delayed banana from MomKat showed up.

stripygoose's banana mail showed up next, forsooth! Even the stamp is banana colored.

The next three arrived on the eve of banana day.

From Dean, a little crumpled.

A Browning banana from Linda.

Perfect timing from TicTac, this one arrived on the big day itself with fantastic faux stamps.

A red banana from Carina showed up a few days later.

Sent in this great envelope - with fun (as always) Finnish postage.

And this last one was posted on April 20 in Brazil, arriving 3 weeks later. Thanks for my first Brazilian mail art, Intransferival!

Sunday Stamps - Flowers

USPS issued a set of 10 stamps earlier this year based on illustrations from gardening catalogs originally used between 1891 and 1910. 

Here are some sent out on envelopes 789, 791, 796 & 809.

I showed a few more of these stamps in a previous post.

And here are two that I received in Jean's April exchange.

And Thomas included this neat wax seal that traveled perfectly (amazingly) through the mail.

Fab 3D postcard art from Linda. I'm just sad I wasn't home at the time of delivery to see what the cats might have made of this one.

Tropics

This arrived from Linda on a freezing cold day in April. Hopefully by the time May has rolled around, spring snow showers will be a thing of the past.

And bonus banana mail from Tomoe, who wasn't on the initial list. Sent in an envelope with a stamp dedicated to International Letting Writing Week. Included a couple of bonus pieces - love the african wild dogs - they look a bit like over ripe bananas!
