This is the oldest of the stash of envelopes I remembered - if you go to the first post of the blog, then you'll see it on top of the pile.
The Alaskan flag stamp fits today's Sunday Stamps theme of water. Not to mention the frozen water on the envelope and mountains of the other stamps.
And the image on the inside flap couldn't be more different...
I like your contribution to the theme "water"!ReplyDelete
Thanks - amazing how easy it is to fit the themes for many of the weeks, even though the blog is 'programmed' about a month ahead.Delete
indeed, beautiful water illustrations on the stamps. I really love the whale rising out of the sea!ReplyDelete
Yes, not usually what you think of when you hear Alaska, however it does have a huge coastline.Delete
I have some of these stamps but you see I never would have related them to a water theme, but just to the more obvious one of flags...well done! :)ReplyDelete
I think the designs of this series often turn up interesting themes for the different states.Delete
Such a creative idea for todays theme. :)ReplyDelete
Thank you, I'm always surprised how my scheduled posts can incorporate the Sunday Stamps theme.Delete
I would not have thought of these for the water theme. The Alaskan whale takes the prize.ReplyDelete
Yeah, the whale is great!Delete
I'm so glad your posts are fitting my themes :)ReplyDelete
Your envelopes are very creative.
Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for organizing Sunday Stamps.Delete
The frozen water was a great thought. I like the series of American states stamps and think that to arrive in Alaska by sea must be amazing experience.ReplyDelete
And the opposite of frozen, the older set of stamps Cloudscapes would have been a fantastic entry for this theme, I just don't have any of them.Delete
