Envelope 60 - mountainarteeth

I convinced myself that the white mountains look like teeth so I could send Christophe yet another envelope.

This is the oldest of the stash of envelopes I remembered - if you go to the first post of the blog, then you'll see it on top of the pile.

The Alaskan flag stamp fits today's Sunday Stamps theme of water. Not to mention the frozen water on the envelope and mountains of the other stamps.

And the image on the inside flap couldn't be more different...

    1. Thanks - amazing how easy it is to fit the themes for many of the weeks, even though the blog is 'programmed' about a month ahead.

    1. Yes, not usually what you think of when you hear Alaska, however it does have a huge coastline.

  3. I have some of these stamps but you see I never would have related them to a water theme, but just to the more obvious one of flags...well done! :)

    1. I think the designs of this series often turn up interesting themes for the different states.

  5. I would not have thought of these for the water theme. The Alaskan whale takes the prize.

  7. The frozen water was a great thought. I like the series of American states stamps and think that to arrive in Alaska by sea must be amazing experience.

    1. And the opposite of frozen, the older set of stamps Cloudscapes would have been a fantastic entry for this theme, I just don't have any of them.
