Banana from Dorothea

This unexpected banana arrived from Dorothea.

Inside this fun envelope.

Would you think it was strange if you received banana art in the mail?

  1. Hi Phillip - as long as it wasn't a rotting banana it'd be ok .. fun to see though ... good for Dorothea ... cheers Hilary

  2. I wonder now... what is more difficult to get through snail mail, bananas or banks? Considering the number of bananas you get and send, I would dare to say banks! This one is beautifully painted.

    1. I'd have to agree. And now I'm wondering what will be on the card Naomi sends me...

  4. That banana art is actually pretty cool! So, no. I don't think I'd think it was strange if I received it in the mail. (Well, maybe I would. But a cool kind of strange.)

    1. Sometimes my letter carrier comments on the mail. One of his favorites was actually a banana sent to me years ago.

  11. I'd like to get banana art in the mail. I used to buy my youngest brother banana themed gag gifts for Christmas every year. Not sure that he liked it, but I had a lot of fun finding the gifts. Not too far from where I live is the International Banana Museum--I really want to visit one day.

    1. I bet the museum has all sorts of banana-related items that could be mailed....

  12. Beware the banana skin! Our town planners should avoid this and Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything<

  13. I would love some banana art :) This site is so fun! I have a friend with who (despite our relatively young age) keeps in touch via actual, honest to God written letter... I know *GASP* on paper... She always finds the cutest cards and envelopes and stickers, which makes it even more fun! The world needs more of this!
